Norwich City 0 – 2 Arsenal (Ramsey 53, Jenkinson 62)

Arsenal sent Norwich City packing their bags into the Championship with a solid display ahead of the FA Cup Final. There were some surprises in the starting line up, with Lukasz Fabianski named ahead of Wojciech Szczesny. Maybe, to give the keeper one last Arsenal appearance. Maybe, a good day out in preparation for the final. Bacary Sagna started at left-back with fellow Frenchman Laurent Koscielny and Carl Jenkinson started at right back.

Norwich, however, didn’t have a tough task ahead of them to survive. They just needed 17 goals to guarantee Premier League status. 11 less than what they have scored all season. Hmm.. Maybe if Arsenal played a squad something like this they could have survived.

GK – Gazidis, RB- Rice, LB – Sir Chips Keswick, CB – Hoogendijk, CB – Bould, RM – Akers, CM – Banfield, CM – Sir Chips Keswick, LM – Brady, ST – Friar, ST – Highbury Squirrel

Would definitely be interesting!

After a rather dour first half, Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring of 53 minutes, with a fine volley, from Giroud’s back chip. But, it was Carl Jenkinson’s celebration on scoring his first goal for the club, 9 minutes later that would make any Gooner’s day. It did mean a lot to the lad.

Bye Bye Norwich! Robert Snodgrass, top lad!

On to the cup Final!

Jai Arsenal 🙂
